Clean Coffee Creamer Options

Help! I can't kick my coffee creamer habit!

In this month's accountability group we were focusing on being intentional. And my major focus is on my nutrition, because I had let it slip more than I cared to admit.

Is that coffee or tequila in that cup? You be the judge based on how big that smile is. haha Life (good and bad) happens, you know?

On tonight's weekly accountability call with the group, one member admitted to having a dirty little secret... she was addicted to coffee creamer and couldn't kick that habit.

So I figured I should share a few of my favorite recipes that are are totally healthy and just as good, if not better than the crap creamer.

This one is 21 Day Fix approved as well! It just counts as a tsp container because of the coconut oil.

So here is how you make it:
1 cup of coffee freshly brewed.
1 tsp of coconut oil
1 tsp of vanilla or butter extract

*blend and enjoy

Another option is Bulletproof Coffee (not 21 day fix approved). It does have many health benefits, but that's another blog, for another day.

But here's how you make it!

1 cup of coffee freshly brewed.
1 tsp of coconut oil
1 tsp of grass-fed butter (I use Kerrygold, you can find it at normal grocery stores and of course buy in bulk at Costco)

*blend and enjoy

If you're not down with the blend option, because whose down to use a blender before you've had your coffee? Am I right? haha I tend to do a splash of almond milk.

But if you want to use other types of milks, here are the container breakdown so you can still stay within the 21 Day Fix nutrition plan:

Low-fat milk, 1–2% (8 oz.)     1 Yellow, ½ tsp.
Unsweetened Almond milk (8 oz.)     1 tsp.
Unsweetened Cashew milk (8 oz.)     1 tsp.
Unsweetened Soy milk (8 oz.)     ½ Red
Unsweetened Coconut milk beverage (8 oz.)     ½ Blue
Unsweetened Rice milk (8 oz.)     1 Yellow
Unsweetened Coconut water (8 oz.)     ½ Yellow

I hope this helps you clean up some of your dirty little secrets. ;) This habit could be the difference of a few pounds over time. ;)

Comment any questions you may have! Have you tried any of the above? What's your favorite?
